CRA - HVAC Study of DHL Warehouse Phase 1 & 2 located : Tangerang, Banten

DHL JDC Warehouse HVAC Assessment Project

Description :
DHL Express Jakarta Distribution Center (JDC) Warehouse is new warehouse. The warehouse  consists of two (2) buildings which are acknowledged as Phase 1 and Phase 2 as shown in figure 1 and 2 respectively. The purpose of DHL Express JDC HVAC assessment is to recommend HVAC system for better environment condition at storage area whose temperature is currently ranged in between 36 – 39 oC for 1st and Mezzanine floors.

Location :
DHL Express Jakarta Distribution Center (JDC) Warehouse located in Soewarna Business Park, Tangerang Banten.


REQUIREMENTS

PT Exacta Pranata Enjiniring (EPE) is requested by PT DHL Express Indonesia (DHL) to assess  ambient temperature of the warehouse which currently considered inconvenient for DHL Express warehouse team activity. Temperature at storage area is currently ranged in between 36 – 39 oC for 1st and Mezzanine floors. This assessment will give the correct HVAC system recommended for DHL warehouse. There are many of HVAC system that can be applied to this warehouse however this assessment will give overview which one is the best, effective and efficient.


SCOPE OF WORK

DHL JDC Warehouse HVAC assessment is conducted to determine the best application of HVAC system to reduce the temperature in supporting the activities inside the building.

Based on drawing received and site visit observation conducted on 16 February 2019, JDC  warehouse is determined as:

Phase 1 building:
• Dimension = 54 x 63 m
• Roof Elevation = +12,0 m from Finish Floor Level (FFL)
• Roof = Metal sheet
• Roof Insulation = Rockwool
• Mezzanine = No

Phase 2 building:
• Dimension = 64 x 63 m
• Roof Elevation = +13,5 m from FFL
• Roof = Metal sheet
• Roof Insulation = Bubble wrap
• Mezzanine = Yes @ + 5,000 m from FFL

The following information related to HVAC system that can be applied to JDC warehouse is presented as part of the report:
• Natural ventilation (percentage opening)
• Roof ventilator air flow calculation.
• Mechanical ventilation
• Equipment Schedule
